Here's how to integrate Guayusa into your daily life
Well yes, Guayusa can be consumed in different ways! It can be consumed in all OOYA flavours, but it can also be integrated into your daily diet!
It can be consumed as an infusion to make a hot drink similar to tea, in powder form to make a smoothie or a cold drink. It can also be used to add flavour to cooking dishes.
We must not forget that Guayusa contains caffeine, so it must be consumed in moderation!
Here are some recipes
Guayusa protein bar recipe (too yummmmmmm!!!!!)
Ingredients
- 1⅓ cup salted peanut butter
- 5 Medjool dates, pitted (add more for sweeter bars)
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 10 tbsp. teaspoon of Guayusa
- ⅔ cup of hemp seeds
- ⅓ cups of chia seeds
- ⅓–½ cup of protein powder of your choice
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon of sea salt
- 3 to 5 tablespoons of vegetable milk
- ⅓ cup cocoa nibs or chocolate chips (optional)
Trim
- ¼ cup dark chocolate - ½ tablespoon coconut oil
Steps to make the recipe
Place the peanut butter and dates in a food processor and pulse a few times until well combined.
Add the cocoa, Guayusa powder, hemp seeds, chia seeds, protein powder and plant-based milk and mix until it forms a thick cookie dough-like texture.
If the mixture is too wet, add more dry ingredients of your choice, such as protein powder or hemp seeds. If it's too dry, moisten with a little more nut butter or plant-based milk.
Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more protein powder of your choice for flavor or more dates for sweetness.
Mix the cocoa nibs or chocolate chips, mix into the dough with a spoon.
Line a standard cake pan with parchment paper and pour the batter into the pan. Spread with the back of a spoon, then use the bottom of a glass to flatten into a flat, tightly packed layer.
Transfer to the freezer to chill for at least 10 to 15 minutes to help the mixture firm up. The longer it freezes, the firmer it will become.
For the topping, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler on the stove or in 20-second increments in the microwave, stirring occasionally.
Pour the filling mixture onto the firmed baking sheet, then cut into bars.

Guayusa green smoothie bowl

Ingredients
- ½ cup frozen sliced banana
- ½ cup frozen sliced peaches
- 1 cup of fresh spinach
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 5 tablespoons flaked almonds, divided
- 1 ½ teaspoons of Guayusa tea powder
- 1 teaspoon of maple syrup
- ½ ripe kiwi, diced
Steps to make the recipe
Mix all the ingredients with a blender
Place the smoothie in a bowl
Decorate the smoothie with the ingredients of your choice
